FAQ
DDP and importing from China questions
What is DDP in simple terms?
Delivered Duty Paid: the seller side handles freight, import clearance, duty, and delivery. You approve one price and receive goods at your door.
What documents do I need to import from China?
A commercial invoice and packing list as the baseline. Entry filings and export declarations are prepared by us under DDP.
What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL is a full container for one shipper. LCL consolidates several shippers in one container. Under 15 CBM, LCL usually wins; above it, FCL.
How are import duties calculated?
Duty applies to the declared value using the HS code tariff of the destination. VAT or sales tax applies on top, usually value plus freight plus duty.
What is chargeable weight on air freight?
The greater of actual weight and volumetric weight, typically length x width x height in cm divided by 5000. We show both numbers in every air quote.
I am a first-time importer. Where do I start?
Pick the destination country page for clearance basics, then request a quote with your commodity and volume. We confirm the route and total landed cost first.
