This disclaimer clarifies compliance responsibilities for DDP shipments arranged by ship4ddp.com.
1. Customer Responsibility for Data Accuracy
The Customer (or its supplier) must provide true and accurate product descriptions, HS codes, declared values, country of origin, and any required licenses/permits. ship4ddp relies on this data for classification and duty payment.
2. Misdeclaration & Consequences
If goods are misdescribed, undervalued, or misclassified, the Customer bears all consequences, including: – Customs seizure, fines, and penalties; – Re-assessment of duties (often at a higher rate); – Demurrage, storage, and return costs; – Any liability arising from non-compliant goods.
ship4ddp is not liable for penalties caused by inaccurate Customer data and may recharge related costs.
3. Prohibited, Sanctioned & Restricted Goods
We do not handle goods prohibited by law, appearing on sanctions lists (e.g., UN, US OFAC, EU), or restricted without proper authorization. The burden to confirm permissibility rests with the Customer.
4. Intellectual Property
We will not knowingly source or ship counterfeit or infringing goods. Customers must ensure they have rights to any trademarks, patents, or designs used in production or private-label orders.
5. Tariff & Policy Volatility
Import duties and trade measures change (e.g., U.S. Section 301 tariffs, EU CBAM, anti-dumping duties). Our DDP quote reflects rates at quotation time. Ship4ddp is not responsible for retrospective tariff changes enacted after quote but before import, except as separately agreed in writing.
6. Product Compliance in Destination Market
The Customer is responsible for ensuring the goods meet destination-market standards (safety, labeling, certification, CE/FCC, etc.). ship4ddp provides logistics, not product-certification assurance.
7. Import/Export Controls
Customers must comply with export controls and import licensing of both China and the destination country. ship4ddp may refuse any shipment that appears non-compliant.
8. No Legal Advice
This page is informational, not legal advice. Consult qualified customs and trade counsel for your specific situation.
